To DNA Or Not to DNA

by Ernest L. Norman

During the past several years, there have been a number of news articles appearing, which have hinted vaguely, that science was on the edge of a great ‘breakthrough’—a discovery which would finally give them the secret of life and the reasons why there were different species of plant and animal life. More recently several articles have appeared in national publications which have exposed this new discovery as centering around the newly found DNA molecule. DNA, incidentally, is the initialed abbreviation for deoxyribonucleic acid.

On December 16, 1962, the National Broadcasting Company exposed a nationwide TV show sponsored by the Bell Telephone Company which was moderated by Dr. Frank Baxter who gave a complete rundown of the DNA molecule. As usual, and as could be expected, this show was done in the customary ostentatious manner which has characterized Dr. Baxter’s presentations. Aside from this, however, it was a rather lucid explanation and anyone watching would have gained considerable information.

Briefly, the show first presented Gregory Mendel, the Austrian Monk, who is credited with being the ‘Father’ of modern genetics. The Mendelian theory of genetical character units was then further developed into the organic bits of substance known as chromosomes, and how science has photographed, through time-lapse photography, the actual reproduction process of cell fission. All cells in any plant and animal life, contain chromosomes. The number varies widely with the species, and apparently science has not discovered the reason for this numerical difference.

A shrimp may have two thousand chromosomes in each cell, a human only forty-six. Also the male and female sex cells, the ovum and sperm, contain only twenty-three each. When a body cell splits or divides, the chromosomes begin to do what could best be described as a country dance, or a Virginia reel; finally dividing and going to their respective half of the cell which then splits.

When a male and female germ cell mate the reverse process goes into effect, after which normal fission begins to take place to develop the embryo. However, science has long known that the chromosomes are not responsible for the different character traits and which vary widely, especially in man. These character traits were supposedly contained in submicroscopic bodies, known as genes. These genes form pearl-like strings around the outside of the chromosomes.

In the early 1950’s, research work done on these genes revealed that they, too, were not responsible for character traits, and science began probing deeper for the answer. By 1953, the gene was found to be largely composed of thread-like molecules which have been called DNA molecules, and it is estimated that there are several hundred million miles—if they were connected end to end—of these DNA molecules in every human.

These DNA molecules are remarkable and quite different than any other chemical molecules. They resemble, somewhat, a spiral staircase or, more correctly, two spiral staircases coiled around each other and with a number of steps connecting them laterally along the entire length. These staircase-like molecules are actually composed of atoms such as carbon, oxygen, nitrogen, phosphorus, etc. Also, they are extremely small and must be magnified 100,000 times by means of the electronic microscope before they can be seen. (They are about one ten millionth of an inch in diameter.)

Now, one peculiarity of this DNA molecule is that apparently, as nearly as it can be ascertained, it is the same in goldfish, dogs, and humans and looks exactly alike. Science knows, however, that there must be a difference, otherwise there would be no difference in species. It is believed that the kind of atoms and their arrangement in the step formations inside the spirals determine the species, and also the numerous traits of that species.

Right at this point, however, science has arrived at the end of the usual blind alley. While they know something about the molecule, they have yet to learn why the atoms of different chemicals and in different combinations become so arranged. In other words, they do not know about the evolutionary factors of these atoms, from life to life, and which are controlled from the psychic anatomy. And perhaps the greatest of all enigmas is that while they know atoms are energy solar systems, they cannot seem to determine their behavior as electronic elements or constituents, which in reality they are.

Science does not know that every atom has a psychic anatomy which is the true source of power and contains the idiom of intelligence which characterizes any particular atom. This atomic psychic anatomy is fourth dimensional and is nonreactive and cannot as yet, be measured or discerned in the third dimensional world; it does, however, reflect the idiom and intelligence and the life stream of power into its respective atom. In other words, the atom is an exterior reflective surface. This atom also, in turn, reflects into its surrounding third dimensional world, a certain vibrating energy called a force field or electromagnetic field; and it is compatible or noncompatible with any other or all atoms on the basis of frequency relationship in these respective electromagnetic fields.

Even if science does succeed in relocating the atom in its proper perspective as an expressionary electronic element, science would still have to find its psychic anatomy. From there, the search would have to proceed into the fourth dimension where the idiom of intelligence quotient could be found as an evolutionary factor, cyclically re-expressed and rejoined in all other cyclic movements with the Infinite Cosmos, or the inner planes—the Kingdom, the fourth, fifth, sixth, etc., dimensions. The third dimensional world is, as has been stated, an expressive reactive plane and is part of this cyclic evolution. And whether it is in singular atoms or in the development of new species, the process is always the same and analogous.

These facts have been thoroughly presented and discussed in other Unariun liturgies—particularly the second lesson course; and all recent developments, including Dr. Baxter’s expose, only point up the complete scientific validity of these Unariun presentations. Even further proof is contained in other discoveries, pertaining to this character-conveying DNA molecule.

Through experiments with fruit flies, mice, etc., intense radiation by X-ray machines produced mutations or deformities. The situation here is the same as if you had blocked off the antenna of your TV set with a wire screen. You would get a wobbly distorted picture as long as the screen shielded the antenna from the transmitter. When the DNA molecule is radiated with X-rays, these rays in effect, partially or wholly block out—temporarily at least—the natural, pulsating energy life stream from its psychic anatomy. The molecule then loses its intelligence quotient, and it cannot reproduce its character traits as it would have normally done; hence a mutation or deformity.

This fact should be quite obvious to science, but as long as atoms are sacredly held in the realm of chemical synthesis, they will not get the answers. The same situation holds true in medicine or in any other field of human interpolation. When this barrier is broken down and these false chemical syntheses disappear, science will have by that time arrived at some of the answers which are now being presented to you.

How far into the future this will take place cannot be accurately predicted, as it will be a very slow process. The bastions and citadels of these different scientific dispensations are indeed difficult to broach; even more difficult to overturn the pedestals used as perches by the pedantic overlords of these various sciences. So far as your own personal position is concerned as a Unariun student, if you can, somehow understand what has been presented to you in the liturgies—and even vaguely—you will still be wiser than all the combined scientists of the world today.

The highlight of the show, and a very humorous one, was in Dr. Baxter’s explanation of sex determination, which he said was, and I quote, “a fifty-fifty proposition”. This was dramatically demonstrated by him, by taking forty-six numbered poker chips—23 white and 23 red—and placing them in a gambling device known as a chuck-a-luck, a cage-like affair which can be rotated, and after several turns the chips were spilled out upon the table. This 50-50 chance proposition was startling.

When I went to school, it was thoroughly drilled into me—and to my fellow students—that science had to be very exact or it was not science. Apparently, however, when it comes to the sex of a child, natural scientific laws are tossed out of the window. However, what this really amounts to is an evasion, because science lacks the answers.

Dr. Baxter went on to explain the “X” and “Y” factors; it seems the female sperm cell has 23 complete full fledged chromosomes—the male cell only 22 complete, plus 1 (one) which has lost some of its genes and when the mating occurs, if this incomplete chromosome gets the upper hand in the scuffle with the female chromosome, the child will be a male or vice versa. Now this knowledge could be dangerous if it got around; the so-called ‘weaker sex’ could really crow and say they were complete and superior. It might also be said that so far as the adult male was concerned, in his affiliations with the adult female, that he had lost some of his genes’ (or marbles). All of these assumptions are quite evidently incomplete and slightly ridiculous. The scientist does not know the many other important controlling factors involved which can more correctly determine the sex of a child.

In the original Mendelian concept of genetics, a mathematical formula of sex and characteristics was developed. This formula apparently has been dropped with the discovery of DNA. The scientist does not know however, that the psychic anatomy of a spiritual being attaches itself, harmonically speaking, to the embryo and actually becomes the new human being. This spirit being then reflects its own characteristic personality, a process previously described in our liturgies.

While it is possible and most likely true, DNA does, however, convey many or even all physical characteristics of parents or ancestors, DNA cannot and does not, however, convey the individual human characteristics which are so evident in all people. If there are similarities in human characteristics between parents and children, they have not been instituted by DNA. They have been developed as polarity through former lifetime associations. Also, in any conveyance, DNA serves only as a carrier; the determining intelligence comes from the respective psychic anatomies. (DNA is not the life nor the intelligence, but only reflects or conveys certain life intelligence.)

These facts, too, have all been adequately described throughout Unarius’ teachings. To sum it all up, therefore, these latest scientific discoveries only reveal the great and obvious disparities and enigmas which exist in various scientific dispensations. It is also a revelation in comparative values as to how low in the scale of evolution mankind still is; worse, new discoveries in the same third dimensional vein, only intensify this position and make it increasingly difficult to break down the barrier between this and the adjacent dimensions.

A thought could be introduced at this point: it could be that our present-day scientists are largely comprised of reincarnated aboriginal tribes-people who formerly lived in the Atlantean or Lemurian ages at which time, the Master Scientists of those eras attempted to teach these same concepts to these elemental minds. The failure to learn produced a mental blockage in the development of these people; hence their striving for an evolutionary outlet wherein they can attempt to learn, conform, and re-express this higher science as was taught by the Master Scientists from other worlds. If this is so, it is quite apparent that they are still laboring against the jumping off place. They can learn and express third dimensional quotients and equivalents, but cannot carry their science into the Infinite Cosmogony.

Note—the author does not assume responsibility as to the accuracy of any figures or statements quoted from the aforementioned TV show or for any such figures or statements from any existing science; such existing concepts are constantly changing as these respective sciences uncover new information. Only the Unariun facts, concepts and principles will forever remain valid and irrefutable.
